This is a continuation of this Nuclear Link Indexer case study.

1. Pligg Sites, Non Spun

The test started on 8/8.

At last update, Day 10 (8/18)

  • Set 1: 105 links. 46 indexed (+29). Indexing: 47.42%
  • Set 2:  108 links. 45 Indexed (+23). Indexing: 46.39%

Today, Day 16 (8/24)

  • Set 1: 105 links. 59 indexed (+13). Indexing: 60.82%
  • Set 2:  108 links. 52 Indexed (+7). Indexing: 53.61%

So those Pligg sites backlinks, non spun (same title, same description), the indexing rate is at about 3.6% per day (down from 4.6%). It is important to note that those are pretty bad backlinks as they are all exactly the same title and description when bookmarking, very duplicated content. So as far as the result itself is concerned, I’m pretty happy with over 50% indexing.

And here is another interesting metric to look at. It is the indexing rate per domain PR. NLI returns the PRs counts and percentages of indexed URLs per PR. With a quick calculation, I was able to extract the percentage of indexed URLs sorted by domain PR.

Indexed
PR Counts %
N/A 6 30.0
0 60 60.6
1 19 47.5
2 13 72.2
3 12 92.3
4 1 100.0
5 0 0.0
6 0 0.0
111

The total number of sites is a little low for some PR values to get good statistical data but overall you can see that the higher the PR of the domain, the higher the indexing rate of the page! What a surprise…

3. Article Directories, Spun Article

The test started on 8/13.

Day 5 (8/18)

  • 691 links, 126 indexed (+126). Indexing: 19.91%
  • 1,794 links added on 8/16 with zero indexed (2 days ago), 295 indexed. Indexing: 17.63%

Set 1 Day 11 (8/24)

  • 691 links, 271 indexed (+145). Indexing: 51.23%

Set 2 Day 8 (8/24)

  • 1,794 links, 405 indexed (+110). Indexing: 24.80%

So those article directories backlinks, with well spun articles, the indexing rate is at about 3.9% per day. It looks like the first batch caught up some speed in indexing, let’s wee what happens to the second set by the end of the week and next week.

Let’s look at the indexing rate per PR again for these article directories links.

Indexed
PR Counts %
N/A 18 5.9
0 195 30.0
1 340 39.5
2 43 65.2
3 80 29.2
4 0 0.0
5 0 0.0
6 0 0.0
676

4. Blog Network, Spun Article
